Osiris Hey guys, you are one of the highlights of my podcast week. You have found the perfect balance between entertaining and informative. And this may seem like a small thing to some, but the family-friendly nature of your show means that I recommend it to everyone that I know that plays Royale, not just a select group of adults. Currently, I’m mired/stuck in Arena 6 (although I’ve been as high as 2134), and even though I’m a level 9 player, and I have mainly 8/6/3 cards (and the Miner), I feel that I’m missing some strategy that better players possess (or maybe I’m just not that good – haha). I tried over the weekend to get into Cast Royale 2 because there was 1 spot open, but the game wouldn’t let me submit my join request. I was/am in Bilbo’s previous clan, and thought it would be fun to battle some fresh talent, and get some pointers from more active players. I appreciate your hard work every week in trying to make us all just a little better, and, oh yeah, BOOM!! Will W. Hi!, Just wanted to stop by and say that you guys are doing a great job! Keep up the good work. No complaints at all about the podcast. I would like to see some guest speakers and chest openings come to the show as well! A cool thing you guys could do for a part of a episode is prepare 3 decks (1 for each slot), and battle each other in a friendly battle live on the show! Anyways, keep the episodes coming! Do you ever resort to playing for a draw when you realize you can’t win? And do you think draws happen to frequently? I wish the overtime went just a bit longer. 2) I still have no legendaries (level 8, in royal arena now). But if I ever get one is it kind of a must to incorporate it into my deck? I’ve got a question I hope you can answer: When is it worth fireballing an elixir collector? Thanks and keep up the good work! I just hit level 9, I’m around 2300-2400 trophys. No legendaries and no freeze spell. Other epics are level 2 or 3, but no freeze. No Freeze! I was glad when they knocked 1 sec off the freeze…I was so tired of being on the receiving end of the hog-freeze. Soup I tried to leave a 5-star review on iTunes, but it keeps saying that my nickname is unavailable, even when I put in “soup…..sldkfjasdlkfhjsdglkh” Really iTunes?! Really? So here it is anyhow because I want you both to see it! Hey guys, love the podcast, been listening since episode 0! You guys sound like grizzled veteran Podcasters! I would love to hear more from you guys about my biggest problem and that is playing with more patience. I like to play aggressively, or at least I just naturally tend to play that way, but I’ve found that if I’m more patient and leave something in reserve for how my opponent reacts, then I have a much better chance of winning! I have been as high as 1850, but right now I’m around 1500 and have dropped all the way into the 1300’s, but I’m always trying to get better! I’ve been in the clan since between episodes 1 & 2, my game handle is Soup, and love how laid back, friendly, and helpful everyone is! Donations and help from more advanced clanmates are only a request away! Keep up the great work, and I can’t wait to see how the podcast continues to evolve and improve, but it’s already great! Also kudos on the clans, they are awesome and fun too!! I’m still trying to figure out how to integrate Discord into it…..if you have any tips or suggestions, do tell! Boom! Hog-ridaaaaaaaaa! I love your podcast! I listen to a lot of gaming podcasts and yours is one of the ones that I get excited about when I see a new episode is available. My favorite segment is when you share new deck ideas. I only wish the game offered more than three slots for decks. I now have my main two decks and my open spot just to test out the ones you guys talk about. Thank you and keep up the great work!
Here is the main deck I am using right now is:
Elix Collector (lvl 6)
Witch (lvl 3)
Wizard (lvl 6)
Giant (lvl 6)
Barbs (lvl 9)
Hog RIDER (lvl 6)
Poison (lvl 2)
Prince (lvl 3)
I usually start the match waiting until 10 elix then drop the giant followed by the witch. When they get to the river I drop the barbs infront of the group. Then at 4 elix drop the poison spell or at 5 drop the wizard at the river. It really takes no time for the tower to go down. Then either drop the elix collector to build back up or start pouring in troops to take out the middle tower. The prince and the hog are great for that late stage push or to counter down the opposite lane I start sending troops down. It is super aggressive but can be a really good defensive deck if needed with a good counter punch. Thanks for letting me share.

Thanks for reaching out! We appreciate the kind words and we’re glad that you like the show! Quick question, are you Jay-Z’s evil twin? Boom.
I really enjoy creating decks – it is a passion of mine within the game for sure. Especially when my current deck just isn’t working, or the meta changes so drastically (which just so happens to be with every single balance change). We couldn’t agree more – we feel that there should be six deck slots. Typically we find that people have 3 different decks they like to play with, and “trial” decks remove one of those. It would be nice if you could have three main decks, two trial decks, and one fun/silly deck to play with. We will be sure continue looking for new decks to play in any given meta to keep your third deck slot full! =]
We really like the versatility in your deck! It seems like the average deck cost is around 4.8 elixir – which seems a little high. Do you find yourself short on elixir, or only being able to play one or two things per push, or because you have the pump you feel like you’ve always got the resources you need? The cycle that you have seems really awesome – it has a great mix of tower treat and AOE to support the giant/hog/prince. What is your current trophy range? And could you tell us what this deck seems to get countered by (i.e., does it get countered by fast hog cycle decks?). We look forward to hearing back from you!

Hey guys, I’m the creator of RoyaleHub and the Total Deck Strength Calculator (which was inspired by this reddit thread: https://www.reddit.com/4o6def). I’m super stoked you guys mentioned it. However you have the calculation mixed up. Tournament standards are 9/7/3/1. So you convert each card to a common to calculate it.
For example lets just say you have a level 1 legendary, you would add 8 to that to make it equal to a tournament standard common.
If you have a level 2 legendary it would be equal to a level 10 common.
A level 7 rare would be equal to a level 9 common, so for a rare you add 2 onto the level.
Here’s how /u/CheeQu described it:
“Legendaries: equal to 3 level higher Epics, 6 level higher Rares and 8 level higher commons.
Epics: equal to 3 level higher Rares and 5 level higher commons.
Rares: equal to 2 level higher Commons.”
This calculation isn’t perfect, however helps you get a good understanding how your deck stacks up. According the reddit post the max TDS is 104 and the max tournament standard TDS is 72.
You guys have a great podcast, I actually thought of doing something similar, you beat me to it (thank goodness, now I don’t have to!)
If you have any suggestions for more tools, let me know. I’m glad to implement anything to please everybody.
